A visit to Kodaikanal is not complete without a going to the\nmagnificent Mannavanur Lake. There is a village called Poombarai, around 35 km\nfrom the town, nestled somewhere inside the forest. Covered up here, is the\nclimbing trail to Mannavanur Lake. It takes about an hour to arrive at the lake\nfrom here, and the way goes through reeds and marshes, past surging meadows and\nthickets of pine. Thick forest surrounds this lake.
