Coaker’s Walk is being rennovated for Kurinji flower festival

The District administration is taking a very good effort to enable tourist to view Kurinji flowers which are in bloom across Kodaikanal hills. The collector of Kodaikanal district inspected Kodai Kurinji flowers festival to be held soon said a large number of Kurinji flowers had blossomed along Coaker’s Walk. Kurinji flowers will bloom once in 12years which creates a major attraction towards the tourist. In order to faciliate tourist to get closer to the flowers at Coakers Walk area the walkers promenade would be repaired. Besides signboards would be put up to help the tourist loacate the areas where flowers could seen in large number. The collector ordered the officials of department of Horiculture to plant flowering saplings along coaker’s Walk to enhance the beauty of the scenery.
