Kodaikanal History

Kodaikanal is very good place for the holiday vacation. It contains a great history which the earliest residents of the Kodaikanal were the Palaiyar tribal people. The one among the earliest reference to Kodaikanal and the Palani Hills are found in the legendary Tamil Sangam literature of the early Common era. Modern Kodaikanal was named by the American Christain missionaries and British bureaucrats in 1845 who came has the refuge the high temperature and tropical disease of the plains.
